Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a company called Animal Mechanics. Our product allows our customers to monitor the movement of their pets and review their performance (e.g. from a run, jump or swim).

WE DO NOT WANT JUST A CLIP ART IMAGE OF ANIMALS AND SOME TEXT! WE WANT A BIONIC TYPE ANIMAL - SOMETHING TECHNOLOGICAL NOT JUST AN OUTLINE OF AN ANIMAL OR SOME CLIPART!

THINK, COGS, WHEELS, PISTONS, HYDRAULICS, MOTION!

We would like to see design that uses the concept of a bionic-type animal (preferably a horse with a dog; e.g. half horse half dog, horse jumping over a dog, horse alongside a dog, etc.). Either of the animals (or both) can be fully robotic or have some parts which are robotic only. The design can also use a concept of cogs and gears to represent joints and movement. The design can also use elements such as dog paw print / horse shoe, etc.

The design should be simple and clear, but communicate advanced and timeless technology, precision and accuracy of movement and relate these to an animal environment. It should also be dynamic/fluid.

The colours should be easily associated with nature and outdoors but also relate to the mechanistic/robotic character of the 'bionic animal' concept.

• an engineering concept,
• Must use concepts of mechanics, cogs, hydraulics, pistons, gears, electronics or elements of modern technology (e.g. mother boards, USB, cables, etc.)
• Must use nature-related colours (browns, greens, yellows, reds, etc.)
• Must show movement

Nice to have

• sci-fi high tech,
• 3D design
• represent anatomy of the animal using mechanical/electronic parts (if use this concept, choose horse's anatomy)
• Company name incorporated in the logo

Should not have

• real world imagery of animals,
• a lot of words,
• colours such as bright blue, pink, purple
• animals in static poses (e.g. standing, sitting)
