Poster Design Brief
This poster will be used for promotional purposes for an event called ImpactFest.
ImpactFest showcases the cultural resources and services Hartford, Connecticut has to offer. The event brings groups from around the area to promote what they can do for the residents of our city.
I've attached a file called "lame-mockup" of a quick and dirty mockup of what we thought would look great.
Since this event is strongly connected with Hartford I'd really like the post to emphasize the shape or outline of our city borders. We want a stylized sort of map and not a strait up clone of google maps.
We don't want a 1:1 clone of google maps but maybe something stylized to match the colors of the logo. Maybe the other elements float over the map? Maybe the map only had highways, parks and rivers. We do want to include some text or slogan.
The logo and the date should be featured on top and probably should include the year since we don't want people to think its a poster leftover from last year. There should be some space for a slogan like "Connecting Hartford Communities".
There is a logo file attached. Now the logo can be tweaked a little to better fit the design. Feel free to remove the chrome embossing or rearrange the loops and the text to make the logo more horizontal or vertical as you see fit. The three hoopy thing and the colors should stay the same though.
On the bottom of the poster we need to have a collection of our participating organizations. There is a zip file attached called "logos" which has all logos. Just try and fit them all best you can.
Thanks for your help.
