Web Design Brief

We're building Playful Learning, a new website to catalyze the use of games-based learning. Teachers can search for games that they can use in the classroom. Each game has its own Game Page. The Game Page will contain loads of useful info for the teacher: what the game is, can they use it, how to use it, etc. The challenge is how to present all this information in this depth in a friendly and simple way without overwhelming new users.

We're inviting designs for the layout and presentation of this Game Page. It might be long and flowing, like an info-graphic (with lots of space for the content to breathe) or it might be collapsible and layered - it's up to you.

From working with teachers, we've identified several groups of data to help break-up the page - see attachment. We have also attached example data for one particular game for you to use.

We're looking for visual representations for the data, where appropriate; but bear in mind that the design needs to accomodate a range of data for the different games.

We're looking for a playful and friendly tone, not overly cute and not overly corporate.

Hi designers!

For this project, please read the brief carefully. We're *not* looking for a homepage design. We're looking for ideas on how to display the data we are collecting about games. We need a design template that works across many games. Please look at the example data given in the attachment, and come up with a design that displays this data in an interesting and informative way.

Thanks!
Peter

Target Market(s)

Teachers. So it needs to be clean, but not too slick - this shouldn't look like a site for gamers, even though it features games!

Requirements
Must have
  • The design must include all the game data in the attached document. It's up to you whether you also consider the design for the website header and the footer - but that's not as important to us as the layout and visualization of the data.
