Logo Design Brief

Create logo to begin our brand identity for a new business launch by the end of April.

Hospice is care for patients and families facing terminal illness with a life expectancy of 6 months or less. The goal of hospice is care is comfort only. We focus on making each day as meaningful and comfortable as possible for the patient and family facing terminal illness. After death, we provide a minimum of 13 months of grief support to the family.

We want the name of the hospice to be the primary focus of the logo.
Our brand should be emotional, clean, and simple. Muted colors may work best for conveying emotion. We do not want the skyline or anything too "Chicago" in the logo. We serve the surrounding suburbs so we do not want to limit the area based on the images in the logo.

It will be used on our website, printed brochures, name tags, business cards, etc. It should be clear (i.e. visible across a room when on a brochure) and something clean enough to print on a nametag and business card while clearly reading the logo.

Target Market(s)

Families facing terminal illness with a life expectancy of 6 months or less.
Generally the decision maker is female who is caring for a dying spouse or parent, or is the professional who is responsible for telling someone that their loved one is dying and needs hospice care.
The materials will be given to hospitals, physicians, nursing homes and families.
