Logo Design Brief
We are currently developing a new website with a focus on sports recruitment that will also have a social network feel to it. Our company home base will be in Atlanta Ga. Initially, our focus will be on the recruitment of high school and college athletes and as we grow, we will add pee wee / pop-warner leagues as well as professional sports.
To get a better idea and feel for the type of website we envision, please take a look at the following sites: rivals.com, scout.com and 24/7sports.com. The name of our website is "sports the league.com" and we plan to brand ourselves as "The League" for short. Our slogan will be "Join the League!". The word sports will ultimately be one of our main search engine words. Both words, sports and the league added together will project and deliver the message we want to set for our website.
The League will serve as a platform to highlight and provide athletic profiles, as well as sport stories from players that participate in the different sports around the world. We want to communicate a look and feel that will adequately represent the sports community. In working toward this goal, we require a logo that defines and reflects our website as a premier sports network.
The market we are targeting will be coaches, recruiters, active athletes as well as retired athletes. Our ultimate target market will be sports fans around the world.
This is where you come in, your artistic vision will define our brand and become the signature for our website. We envision this website to represent everything we want to be: symbolic, vibrant, fun, sporty, colorful, bold, savvy, cool, professional, passionate, timeless with high energy.
Preferably our team would like the word "sports" to be in red because this color is bold, powerful and will stand out to our clients who visit our website. "The League", we would like to be in black. Black is not as powerful or as striking as red but will still command attention from the viewer. However, we will still be open to different color schemes if the right one fits.
In advance, we would like to say that we sincerely respect and thank all the artists who are participating in this project and we wish all of you good luck with the development of your designs.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: We would like to thank all the designers who have participated in this project. You guys have provided some good designs for my team and I to debate over. However we have decided to extend our deadline to allow more time for readmissions and new designs to compare against a few designs we like. We will increase our budget as well. So please feel free to offer any new material and thanks again for your participation.

We would like to add that sliver or gray is a another color that can also be used. Also we would like to see more designs with our slogan attach to our logo which is ''Join the League''. Again to all of the designers we say thank you. We're getting some really good designs and we 're looking for a few more to compare. We don't want the word sports to overshadow the league. The League is who we are. Oh also please add the .com to the our website logo. Thanks
