Logo Design Brief

We need a logo redesign for a new restaurant based in Belmar, New Jersey (aka the Jersey Shore) called Simply Southern. The menu has a Southern Comfort style cuisine with the name of Simply Southern.

My colors are Red & White and I would like to have an eye-appealing/friendly font with an exciting logo to bring customers in. Our theme is southern & country so something playing off that would be fantastic.
The final design should communicate friendly, good-ol Southern comfort food and be modern enough to ensure longevity. I would be open to seeing designs that also say Simply Southern with the two words of Comfort Food under or built into the design.
