Logo Design Brief
We need a logo for a new showcase event that will highlight startups coming out of the university of california system. The event has a prize of an investment from a venture capital firm, and connections to other potential funding groups.
I'd like the text to say prime UC or Prime UC (would like the UC capitalized). I'd love something modern and sleek looking to capture how this is an exciting event and program for both startups and funders.
Color-wise, I don't care for the lime green color that's trendy of late but otherwise I'm open. Would like something that is appealing to young entrepreneurs as well as others. The design should communicate this is an event that a)provides valuable connections to the startups and/or funders and some good press and b) can be the launchpad for the startup to get early money.

Requirements
Must have
- I'd like a graphic and the name (to coordinate).
- The graphic should somehow suggest either growing of a company (this seed funding should allow it to grow) or bringing people together.
- My placeholder graphic is too large (the graphic part) vs the text, but I played with the relevant colors.
Nice to have
- I'd like to explore colors that are compliant with the UC brand, not necessarily just the blue and gold but others too.

- I like the idea of a logo design in between prime and UC (ie prime [logo] UC), but not completely committed to that. I also like ones that take advantage of the letters (ie something coming out of one of the letters)
- I'm less convinced we need similar fonts but guidelines are here:
