Modern UI App Design

Hi there, I've had a good look through your specs and your PPT file. I'm about to get started on a design for your app. What are you expecting for the deliverables? The full app designed (all 14 screens), or the main template / UX of the app?

I'm seeing if this job is the beginning of a UI design project as good quality work would take some time and needs to be collaborative with the client (as opposed to simply submitting a logo design).

A full app design, from any UX designer who would produce great results for you, would cost significantly more than €240, but I'd be willing to submit the main template and also create an initial user experience at this stage. From what I've seen so far, the user experience needs some work, and could be made to be a very unique experience. However, I'd need more information about how this app works (which I hope would come later on down the line, as an improvement to this current job?)

I usually work through freelancer platforms, and more so through word of mouth. However, I thought I'd try out designcrowd, and your project seems quite interesting. So, instead of showing you a portfolio, I can show you designs for your app. (as my most recent work for clients is still confidential / not launched).

Thanks,
John

Hi John,

Thanks for your message.
It is also a trial for us but we would like to use this more intensively in the future if it works.
Right now this is really mainly a PoC and after all it will a prototype that we want to show some of our customers, so there might be quite some feedback and changes later on anyhow.

Please start the PPT presentation and you will see the approximate flow.
Any comments are welcome on that but the main objective is having a screen design and some flow through the application => you will anyways see that 14 slides do not mean 14 screens, so I guess after all it would be 3-4 with some moving elements. So it would be great to have a little bit more than just one static main screen.

Would you also be able to provide a working mockup (preferred in HTML 5) to be displayed on an iPad e.g.?

Would be great to have you on board,
Perfectly willing to provide quite some interaction.

Thanks, Martin

Hi Martin,

Thanks for your reply. I understand your main objective there, and can also see what you mean about the the PPT not being all 14 screens. I'll create something that will give you a very good idea of what I can do for your app (more than 1 static page)

I can create a working mockup that you can demo to customers on an iPad. There's a few nifty services that I can use that will allow you to experience the mockup and also demo it as if it's (nearly) real.

Just so everything's clear - I specialise in UX/UI design, and not front-end development (HTML5), is that ok with you? Designers and developers do not have the same way of thinking. You 'can' get people who do both, but they won't be 'great' in either (for a number of reasons, the primary one being that designers focus on human behaviour and developers focus on machine behaviour - it's hard to focus on both as they both require a lot of effort).

Thanks for your clarification,
John

Hi John,

That is perfectly fair, as long as we can demo it as if it would be an (almost) real app we should be fine.

Thanks, Martin
