Is the logo text a requirement within the logo?

The text is not a requirement within the logo.

1. Name to incorporate in the logo?
2. reference color ?

To Clarify - I would like the Logo picture part to be by itself, so it can be used for both businesses. I am looking for simple design, easy to look at but elegant. Possibly a house with a chair, small table and lamp or vase on this inside. Then just the name Simply Decor and More having the word Simply being pronounced so as to use for the other company as well. I don''t need the rest of the text on there. I would like to use the colors of Gold, Black and a little Red. Any variation.
