Icon Design Brief

I need a full icon set (http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#qa/qa1686/_index.html) including 512x512 for an application to be called Metronomos. It is a music Practice logging application for students with a simple metronome included.

My ideas thus far include:

1. A Metro gnome (a well dressed/groomed gnome in a designer suit).
2. Piano notes as the hands on a stopwatch.

I'm completely open to other ideas also.
