Logo punch-up! Modify our existing logo

This is what a business in United States was looking for in their graphic design

We have a logo that we like but it is a little hard to read when it is on letterhead, etc. We would like it made a little bolder, darker and punched up in any creative way you can come up with. We will need a high quality, high resolution final result.

Feel free to take some creative license and give it your own desogn elements! Maybe more colorful? Maybe make the triangle/star in our current logo more 3-dimensional? Even floating?
