I am relatively new to the design scene as i just started designing for a few months now, but i do some freelance work at Upwork and Truelancer (you can check me there if you want some work done. I complete my designs using inkscape and Corel Draw (i only use inkscape because that is where i started my design from, i plan to drop it soon when i get illustrator), for previews i use JPG, while for source files i usually use PDF (but i'm willing to use EPS if need be). Why should i be hired instead of other designers? Because of two sentences. 1) YOU ARE THE BOSS. 2) YOUR OPINION MATTERS. It is said that "no matter how creative or masterful your designs are, if it doesn't satisfy the client's wishes, its TRASH". I like to create authentic designs completely made up from my head (if the client allows me to) and rarely use references (unless given by client),i only check references online to get the latest trending design patterns.
