European football clubs are, among many others, prominent examples of the continuing everyday use of coats of arms as logos and symbols. A coat of arms can be created and used by businesses and organisations as well as individuals . The coat of arms can adorn anything from a 10 dollar T-shirt to a 100 000 dollar signet ring that is passed on from father to son within the family. Apart from "painting" your coat of arms or family crest I can help you with the design and ensure that it is in accordance with the traditional heraldic rules. A coat of arms should also have a proper "blazon"; that is a formally correct description from which a knowledgable reader could reconstruct the proper image. (Whenever I design a new coat of arms I provide the blazon as part of the service.) I also translate mottos (or battle cries!) to latin, or old norse – the language of the vikings. A family motto for example is often written in latin, on a banner accompanying the family crest. Apart from heraldry I have an interest in mythology, especially old norse, and symbolism. If you want to create designs with a symbolic or hidden meaning I would be happy to help you with that part of the project as well. hide
