Book Cover Design Project

This is what Readers & Thinkers Fiction, Inc. was looking for in their book cover design

The book title is: "Shadow Wars: With All Your Heart", by Nina Joy

The story is of a girl who wants to be a dancer and agrees to an extensive education in order to receive the music and dance lessons she wants. She becomes an emancipated minor, taking care of two other minors and resorts to dancing for her living. First in a "girlie" vaudeville/burlesque show where she is the innocent pursued by lecherous bankers, landlords and other wicked men. Then as a highly-paid and well-choreographed dancer on stage in Los Vegas. All of her efforts are aimed first at becoming a lawyer and then at becoming the means to destroy the crime family that had her newly-wed husband killed on the street.

The cover image, therefore, should be a sort of mirror-image of the woman: In the foreground (right/front) is the dancer with the illusive but seductive costume of a temptress without revealing skin or obvious sexuality, perhaps in a lift/leap over a wicked man. Shadowed behind (lef… Read more
